Pre/facing the Other

Luca wrote to her once
of his fallings away
and there
in his words
were deposits,
diaphanous tissues of issues,
were petals that floated limousine listenings
past languaginglists
of leavings and colloids
pressed hard into sheaths
of writerly reads
or righterly deeds
that congealed a tiny piece of a song
and he called it
he named it Ilovedyouclickedsent
a sungsong he sang
while shoving his hand through her heapedheppedupheart,
dim pull outthenightandintothelight
of his wroughtwrungandwrenched is-ings and ing-ings,
then came the alongs,
became the belongs
that sparkled paprika pops
hot off her cheek
